What is the BT Handset EMI Scheme?

The scheme allows eligible customers to purchase selected handsets through an agreed repayment plan. Your monthly payment, repayment period and applicable financing charges will be explained before you commit.

Eligibility

You may qualify if your employer or agency has an active EMI MOU with Bhutan Telecom and you meet the applicable BT and organizational requirements.

You may need to provide:

• Valid CID or accepted identification
• Proof of employment/agency affiliation, where required
• Any additional documents specified under the applicable MOU or BT policy

Important: Eligibility may be tied to a specific BT Customer Care Center. For example, an eligible employee of Trashigang Hospital may need to complete the purchase through the designated BT Trashigang Customer Care Center.

Key Terms

• Interest/financing: Applicable rates or charges will be disclosed before you accept the EMI
• Tenure: Available repayment periods may include 12 or  24 months, depending on the handset and applicable policy.
• Late payments: Repeated non-payment may affect future EMI eligibility.
• Early repayment: Early settlement may be available subject to BT’s applicable terms and any applicable.

How to Apply

1.Check Your EMI Eligibility

Verify your organization’s eligibility for the BT EMI Handset Scheme through the eligibility search. Once eligible, review the applicable EMI plan, payment schedule, and terms and conditions.

2.Select Your Preferred Handset & Prepare the Required Documents

Choose your preferred handset from the available models and prepare the required documents and forms:

• Individual EMI Agreement
• Employer Undertaking Form
• BT EMI Scheme Information

3.Visit the Designated BT Customer Care Center

Visit the designated BT Customer Care Center, where our Sales Representative will verify your eligibility and submitted documents and assist you in completing the required formalities

4. Collect Your Handset

Once your eligibility is verified and all formalities are completed, collect your handset from the Customer Care Center.
